Alan’s keynote presentations are designed to be technically simple and easy to support. Please share these requirements with your A/V team in advance.
Presentation & Displays
- Projector or large display appropriate for the room, with a 16:9 screen.
- HDMI connection for Alan’s MacBook.
- Alan prefers to present from his own computer.
- A confidence monitor is strongly preferred for larger rooms and stages.
- The confidence monitor should display Alan’s Presenter View, including speaker notes, rather than simply mirroring the audience screen. Depending on the venue’s A/V setup, Alan can provide a second laptop to make this possible.
- Alan provides his own presentation remote and can accommodate a dual-computer setup when needed.
- No internet connection is required.
Audio
- Wireless lavalier microphone.
- House sound appropriate for the size of the room.
- No audience microphone is needed.
Stage & Room
- An open, uncluttered presentation area that allows comfortable movement.
- No podium or lectern is needed.
- A small table or stool for water is appreciated.
- No special lighting requirements beyond appropriate stage lighting.
- In smaller venues without a confidence monitor, Alan may need his laptop positioned where Presenter View is visible from the presentation area.
Before the Presentation
Alan requests access to the presentation room at least 30 minutes before attendees enter for setup and a brief A/V check.
Alan travels with his presentation equipment and backup options and is happy to coordinate directly with the event’s A/V team in advance, particularly regarding the confidence-monitor setup.
